My goal in painting is to create a space where the viewers psyche can enter that is free from the restraints of the physical world and that they are free to move through with no constraint. A space that only exists in that painting, so that the painting is a place, not a picture of a place. I create the movement with a curvilinear geometric form that brings a lot of energy to the painting. The use of traditional pictorial landscape painting techniques of overlapping and atmospheric perspective applied to the abstract form help me to achieve my desire.
