Joan Lengel is a Larchmont, NY mixed media artist whose work is primarily musically inspired. Having a strong background in the arts, she has combined her two passions, music and art to create pieces that reflect this motivating force in her life.

Lengel’s creative process combines many mixed media techniques, including painting, digital art, layered plexiglass, sculpture and collage to create her compositions. Her style is mostly abstract and her palate is minimal so that the viewer can connect to the subject without distraction. Lengel’s art speaks to her interest and her work is primarily musically inspired.

Residing in Larchmont, New York Joan Lengel is a member of several art organizations in Westchester County and Connecticut and has won several awards. She holds an undergraduate and graduate degree in music and was trained in art at several schools in Westchester, Ct. and NYC. She continually strives to combine these two art forms and stretch the limits of her work.
